Taiwan now has a handsome president women can be proud of

Nuns, housewives have their hair half washed in salons and a lot of other women supporters of Ma Ying-jeou flooded the streets wherever Ma went during the campaign. The major reason that gave Ma Ying-jeou a landslide victory in last night Taiwan presidential election is his winning of 2:1 skew of the women ballots, at least that's the viewpoint of the pro-independence newspaper The Liberty Times.The paper names the enormous women support for Ma as "the handsome guy phenomenon". Ma is believed to have won at least 65% to 70% of women votes, which take up about half of the total number of eligible voters.
According to a report by the Liberty Times, when the Ma's motorcade arrived at Tainan county the day before the election, "these women just gone crazy." Here are some examples:- Reporters saw three of four nuns running out from a nearby temple trying to take a good look at this secular handsome man;
- Middle-aged women with their hair being half washed in salons rushed out to the street, with shampoo bubbles still on their hair;
- Women fans as young as 20 rode on their motorbikes and followed the motorcade from one city to another -- running red lights -- just to take some good pictures of Ma
Her honesty won a round of applause, and of course, many laughters. Ma returned a charming smile. Then the girl wanted to go on talking, but she was too emotional that she could only cry... At the time, Ma said to her: "Little girl, please don't cry, I love you too."WOW! That's how Ma locked up women votes. This is unprecedented. Ma is the Mr Charm to a lot of women: Harvard grad, handsome, healthy, well-groomed and humble.
I was chatting with my colleagues on this topic today. One colleague gave us a very good conclusion: "at the end, it's the most primitive urge of human nature that brought Ma to the presidency."
